The pressures we place on ourselves can lead to ‘All or Nothing’ cycles. So at times we are really focused on our health but then we burn ourselves out (mentally) and end up wanting to do nothing at all.

How can we live healthy lives whilst being kind to ourselves too? 

‘Active Wellbeing’ is my unique philosophy on health and wellness. It balances health and physical fitness goals with mental wellbeing, and it takes into account the whole person and the whole of life.

Active Wellbeing removes the pressure of getting fit the “proper” way and teaches us to appreciate our bodies and the wonderful things they are capable of. Everybody is unique, and everybody has an Active Wellbeing path which fits them.

Creating an active lifestyle for yourself is transformational. Not only to your health but to other areas of life too.

Women who succesfully maintain an active lifestyle report feelings of increased self-esteem, self-worth, confidence and a sense of freedom!

That is what I want for you.

My Active Wellbeing Academy will not only get you started but will continue to support you as your journey progresses.

You will learn how to create sustainable fitness routines without the stress, how to motivate yourself at times when you’re not feeling your best and how to pick yourself back up when you fall down.

Your Coach, Diane Brown

In the Active Wellbeing Academy you will be getting the dedicated service of a professional Exercise Psychology Coach (me) and an experienced Wellbeing Life Coach (also me). So who am I?

I’m really passionate about helping women get active and feel good (whatever that means for you).

I chose this work due to my own personal experiences of getting fit and what it did to improve my wellbeing and success in life.

My personal favourite activities are running and triathlon, although these days I do a bit of walking and yoga too.

I developed this ‘first-of-its-kind’ Academy as I could see the need for a different way to support women with their wellbeing goals. One that embraced physical activity as a key component of wellbeing, and also paid greater attention to the mental as well as physical benefits.

On top of all of this I am also qualified to Level 2 in Triathlon Coaching with the British Triathlon Federation, giving me additional knowledge in the fields of swimming, cycling and run training.

When will the coaching sessions be held?

Weekly Group Coaching and Monthly Planning Sessions will take place on a Monday at 7pm and Wednesday at 11am. You choose a time that suits you.

The Active Wellbeing Starter Course and 12 week Motivation & Mindset course are self guided, to complete in your own time.

If you pay in full you will also receive a BONUS 1:1 consultation at a mutually agreed time.

I never really done “exercise” before and I’m not sure where to start – will the Academy help with this?


The main focus of the Academy is mindset and wellbeing, but I will help you find activities suitable for you and your starting point.

I am qualified to give specific guidance on swimming, cycling and running, and I have numerous contacts in other areas such as walking, yoga, pilates, online gyms and strength training so I am always happy to point you in the right direction for any sport specific support.

Will the programme be as intense as the 5 day challenge?

No. The challenge was designed to help you cover a lot of ground quickly, but I would not expect you to maintain that pace continuously. The Academy is designed to allow to to progress at your own pace. The Motivation & Mindset Programme is designed to be completed over 12 weeks, but you are free to go at your own pace. There’s no pressure, just support.

I have a really busy and hectic life – Will I be able to fit this in?

Absolutely. The programme has been designed so that it allows you to discover ways to fit active wellbeing into a hectic life.

Ideally you will need to find the time to attend the weekly coaching session but in the beginning this is all you need. I will work with you to help you find time for more physical activity.

This seems like quite a gentle approach – is it still suitable for me as I would like to really challenge myself?

Absolutely! What’s great about this programme is that it suits anyone at any level. You come with your own goals and I support you to get to where you want to be. The sky’s the limit!
